Today's Treat

Just a few days after halloween and coveting a devilish delight of the caramel milk chocolate kind, I decided instead to plunge into the salutary sack of goodies and pulled out a nutrient rich, gratifying treat that is filled with fiber, high in protein and low in carbohydrates.

Dig out the ingredients below:

1/4 cup of vanilla greek yogurt
1/4 cup of pumpkin puree
1 tsp. of ground flax seeds
1 dash of cinnamon
Chopped pecans or almonds as garnish

Just mix the first 4 ingredients with a fork and garnish with nuts. You can add a little stevia to sweeten if you so desire.

You can purchase pumpkin puree in a can all year round. I normally wouldn’t recommend any vegetable from a can, or is it a fruit? Whatever it is, pumpkin from a can is better than no pumpkin at all. It’s soooooooo good for you, not to mention delicious. Read about it’s super powers here.
